Problems and Solutions using Java

 

Our web site uses Java applets.  Java applets are small programs that run on your computer that make things like the "site search" and "folder lists" operate properly.   If you have clicked on one of the folders and not seen anything happen, Java is not properly installed on your computer.  Here is what you should be seeing:

There is a quick test you can run to verify that Java is properly installed on your computer.  You can find it here. Scroll down to the Java test and you should see the Duke logo dancing back and forth.  If you don't see the dancing Duke logo, then you either need to install Java on your computer, or it needs to be configured.
